Winch installations require a drivetrain that is strong, compact, and reliable. All at the same time. The EP Winch from Rossi combines all these requirements in one innovative design: a planetary gearbox mounted directly in the winch drum that can handle torque up to 125,000 Nm.
What makes the Rossi EP Winch different?
The key lies in the “rotating housing” principle. In a traditional drivetrain, the gearbox is positioned next to or behind the winch. With the EP Winch, the housing rotates with the drum: the reduction housing is integrated directly into the drum. This significantly reduces overall installation dimensions and improves system integration — without compromising on power or reliability. Thanks to the modular design, installation and maintenance are simpler than with conventional solutions. The gearbox is suitable for both electric and hydraulic motors.
